This program, located at NPC, is one of more than twenty technology education options offered by the participating school divisions in the Red River Technical Vocational Area and will be fully articulated with Manitoba Apprenticeship for Technical Training in the Cook trade.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A Manitoba Teaching Certificate is required
  2. Experience and/or training in the advertised position
  3. Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Child Abuse Registry Check
  4. Ability to relate to the school community and community value base
  5. Applicants must hold a Journeyperson Certificate (Red Seal) in the Cook trade

Northlands Parkway Collegiate is the newest school in the Garden Valley School Division. Located in the North end of the City of Winkler, this grade 9-12 high school has a student population of about 650 students, a teaching staff of close to 50 and many support staff. The school features state of the art architecture, energy efficiencies and many spaces with natural light. It was built to LEED gold standard and received an award from Manitoba Hydro for energy efficiency.

Operating under the auspices of a comprehensive High School Philosophy, Northlands Parkway Collegiate offers students a choice of 6 technical vocational programs (esthetics, hairstyling, electrical technology, pastry arts, culinary arts and community health and child care); a comprehensive list of elective courses; and many extra-curricular programs.

Salary and Benefits:

The compensation package for this position is in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Garden Valley School Division and the Garden Valley Teachers’ Association.
