Plum Coulee students are enjoying new school sports jerseys, thanks to partnerships in the community that support the school. The new sports jerseys were recently acquired with funding through the Plum Coulee branch of Access Credit Union.
Rather than retiring the old jerseys, a special international connection will enable the old jerseys to continue to be used. Two sets of older jerseys, (held by students on the left in the below photo), will be sent to two schools in Africa. This connection between schools was facilitated by grade 8 teacher, Corinne Peters (shown standing behind students in the photo).
Access Credit Union Branch manager, John Giesbrecht and Credit Union staff, Chris Harms, recently presented a cheque to Principal Mary Eberling-Penner. The credit union covered both the cost of the new jerseys and the shipping of the old jerseys to Africa.
