General Student Registration Process
In order to process a child’s new school registration, the school division will need the following information:
- Child’s name
- Date of birth
- Current grade in school (if applicable)
- Name of current school (if applicable)
- Address of new residence in Winkler (this is important because it will help determine which school the children will attend)
Once the above information is received, the information will be forwarded to the respective school, the transportation department (if applicable) and to you. If registering during the summer—please go to the assigned school the week before Labour Day weekend (Tuesday—Thursday) to finalize registration at that time. If registering during the school year—please go to the assigned school at your earliest convenience to finalize registration at that time.
For families immigrating into the area, we encourage you to contact Regional Connections, a local settlement services office who can provide assistance in registering the children for school.

Admission of Non-Resident Students
