Att: Parents/Guardians/Staff/Community Members
We’d like to genuinely thank parents, students, and staff for their patience as of late. We’re aware that the current situation—including the announcement to suspend classes—is without precedent in the province and it’s created challenges for all families.
Your patience with us as we navigate the fast-changing and shifting ground around us during the Covid-19 pandemic is greatly appreciated.
Manitoba Education is holding daily briefings with school superintendents as they take their lead on health-related matters from Manitoba Health. The recommendations coming to school divisions have evolved on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis.
At this time, in the continuing effort to curtail the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Manitoba School Divisions are encouraged to close all play-structures on school grounds, effective immediately until further notice. These structures are high touch areas and it is noted the COVID-19 virus is viable to up to 3 days on plastics and stainless steel. Additionally, with the Public Health directive to maintain a 2-meter distance, we encourage parents and children to use the open large spaces such as fields and parks.
It’s our hope that everyone in our community stays healthy and safe. Please take care of yourselves, your loved ones, and your neighbours. We wish you the very best in these challenging times.
