The Garden Valley School Division Board of Trustees is pleased to announce the appointment of Mandy Friesen to the position of Principal of Parkland Elementary School effective September 2023.
Ms. Friesen has over 22 years of teaching experience at J.R. Walkof Elementary, Garden Valley Collegiate, Northlands Parkway Collegiate and Parkland Elementary, and has held the position of Classroom Teacher, Resource Teacher, and Vice-Principal. She holds a Bachelor of Education and a Post-Baccalaureate (Educational Administration) from the University of Manitoba, and a Manitoba School Leadership Certificate.
Ms. Friesen believes in providing a positive, trusting, and nurturing environment that supports each learner’s development and well-being on their path to success.
