Collaborative Learning Groups (CLG's) are a group of two or more teachers who wish to explore topics of their choice for two divisional professional development days. On these days, teachers in the CLG will meet outside of the divisional sessions and will set their own agenda for these days. They will need to apply to the professional development committee for the opportunity to organize their own PD in this way. Applications are available on the website (see side menu link) or from your school PD representative. Applications must be submitted by the second Tuesday in November of any school year. Any CLG that is formed will be made available to any teacher in the division to join if they are interested. In offering this option, the professional development committee hopes to allow for maximum autonomy for teachers over their professional development. A list of established CLG's for 2011-2012 will be posted as soon at the information becomes available.
