The Carpentry program introduces students to the skills and techniques used in the carpentry and construction industries. Students learn how to safely use tools and equipment, read and interpret construction drawings, and work with measurements and materials. As students progress, they complete more complex projects that emphasize precision, craftsmanship, and safe work practices.
This program prepares students for entry-level employment in residential, commercial, or industrial construction, and provides a strong foundation for apprenticeship or further post-secondary education.
The Carpentry program is accredited by Apprenticeship Manitoba. Students who meet the academic requirements may receive credit for Level 1 in-class technical training in the Carpenter trade.
Students interested in the Carpentry program are encouraged to visit the RRTVA website for more information.
