Piping Trades

The Piping Trades program at Morden Collegiate is an eight-credit program delivered over two semesters. It provides students with foundational skills and knowledge for a wide range of careers in the piping and mechanical systems industry.

Students gain experience in areas related to plumbing, steam fitting, gas fitting, HVAC, sprinkler systems, and more. This program offers a strong foundation for those entering the workforce directly or pursuing further post-secondary education or apprenticeship training.

The Piping Trades program is accredited by Apprenticeship Manitoba. Students who achieve an overall average of 70% or higher across all eight credits may receive Level 1 in-class technical training recognition in the Plumbing trade.

Students can also earn practical apprenticeship hours through the High School Apprenticeship Program (HSAP), with work placements available during evenings, weekends, or school breaks.

Students interested in the Piping Trades program are encouraged to visit the RRTVA website for more information.
